Welcome to my first ever blog!

I am launching a business, Now You’re Cooking!, that is designed to be FUN and informative! I love cooking and want to help others love cooking, or at least love the food they make.

I have always loved food, although I haven’t always known how to make good food. I spent my young working years involved in different aspects of the food business: garnish girl, server in restaurants and cocktail lounges, fast food worker, owner and operator of a restaurant, grocery store clerk, food broker, and wife of a restauranteur. But the job I enjoyed the most was working in a cooking school, and now I am hoping to create the same energy and sense of fun in a home setting.

I have been working with various groups, cooking together using my recipes and ideas, and then enjoying our meal together. I thank those who have invited me to their homes, allowing me to meet their families and share my love of cooking with their friends and neighbors. As I move forward I will be adding photos of these events, and blog about the food, equipment, people, whatever develops.
