Summer and Salads just go together for me, so I wanted to share some more ideas.
Zip up an everyday green salad by topping it with a mix of meat, cheese and vegetables.

Here's an example of a hearty main course salad with lots of fresh vegetables, tasty proteins, and a variety of textures. |
You can even slice up radishes, add some chives, and make a salad.

Here's a vegetable you might not have thought of for salads. Fresh Butternut squash adds beautiful color as a side salad. Just mix it with a vinaigrette and some fresh herbs.

To make salads more filling as a main course, cook up some whole grains and use that as a base for your salad.

Add vegetables, fruit and protein to your cooked grain and you will have a balanced meal in one dish. |

When you want to whet peoples appetites, serve food with lots of color. We all eat with our eyes. Doesn't that make you want to find me and see if this is still in the fridge?
